Desiree's Baby Feedback

Blog Post #3: What did you think of the story's ending? Is it plausible in our society today? Why?

The story's ending was quite a twist. Armand started to ignore Desiree because he thinks she is not white; however, it turns out that Armand's mother is the one to blame. It is so ironic because I thought Desiree would be the one depressed her whole life. But then in the end, she writes a letter telling Armand that his Mother is cursed with his own race.

Yes, it is plausible in our society today. A lot of strange things happen in our society and race is one of them to be talked about. Sometimes, when you are in an adopted family or you don't know where you are coming from, you often think you are a certain race. In some cases, it turns out that, that adopted child is a totally different race and if I was a friend of that adopted child, I would accept. I think anyone, who is not racist in our society, is pleasingly acceptable of this case. Everyone should have a chance for acceptance. Sometimes race can make who you who you are, but if you want yourself to be an individual, then you deserve a chance of acceptance.

I completely agree with you when you say that kids usually aren't 100% sure on where they came from. I also believe that everyone should have a chance no matter what they look like or where they came from. It doesn't matter what they look like or how they dress it matters on how you treat one another.

I find this very true and agree with your post. everyone should have a chance for acceptance regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation and etc because in the end, we're all human.
